Spread over 48 sq kms and with a population of over 1.8 million residents, Thane is fast emerging as a destination of choice for homeowners and commercial organisations alike.

In order to create a safe and secure forum for potential home buyers and developers on a large scale, Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (MCHI) Thane, the most prominent body of real estate builders and developers in the city are presently hosting their 11th Real Estate and Housing Finance Exhibition at Highland Gardens, Dokali, near Big Bazaar, Thane (W) from April 29 till May 2.

With the Expo in its 11th year of operations, MCHI Thane intends to reposition Thane city as a progressive city that is well governed with good infrastructure, is ecofriendly, cost effective and culturally advanced. The 11th Property Exhibition this year will be the first conscious, well-thought-out attempt to think on a macro, city-wide scale and be ahead on the trend curve.

MCHI (Thane) President Nainesh Shah said, “The single-largest reason for Thane’s stupendous growth has been the availability of large tracts of land, opened up for development by large industries.

Over an extended period traditional brick and mortar industries have been gradually replaced by IT/ITES, logistic companies, retail malls, entertainment complexes and high- end accommodation. MCHI’s constant endeavor to build Thane into a City of the Future is validated by a recent BRIC forum report certifying Thane as the next best destination for real estate and commercial investment.”

MCHI (Thane) Vice-President Shailesh Puranik adds, “Thane city and its environs are the stamping grounds for nearly 100 developers and builders who have bonded together under our banner to create a city that will set benchmarks for the future. Thane is also a fast evolving Central Business District after Bandra Kurla Complex, with its 360 degree approach to healthcare, connectivity, air quality and a 60-lakh strong talented manpower pool extending from Vikhroli to Kalyan, given excellent connectivity and linkages”.

Apart from being sound from the retail housing point of view, Thane is also emerging as the destination of choice for commercial businesses and IT/ITES because of superior connectivity and infrastructure.

The Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA) has plans on the anvil for a Thane-Kalyan-Bhiwandi high-growth zone with a fine network of roads and proposed monorail network.

The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has given significant impetus to the growth of new business avenues like IT and ITES in the city.

The consequential positive fallout has been the growth of retail, commercial offices and logistics. The city’s excellent law and order situation, as well as, sophisticated abilities to fight cyber-crime also make Thane a preferred destination of choice.

With India being at the forefront of economic excellence and growth, consumption incomes have increased significantly leading to better spending abilities and aspirations.

Such positive sentiments and buoyancy is also reflected in real estate which is considered as the growth driver for the Indian economy. Given the backing of a robust and rapid growth rate, Thane is a prime example of sound planning, affordable spaces and better living.

MCHI-Thane has always believed that a great city is the sum total of great buildings and sound infrastructure. MCHI-Thane believes that through strategic partnerships with the Thane Municipal Corporation, MMRDA and MIDC Thane can become a great city with affordable housing and commercially viable investment opportunities. TMC has already rolled out Rs 1700 plus crore in its recent budget for Thane City.

MCHI Thane has envisioned the 11th Real Estate & Housing Finance Expo as a perfect platform to fulfill the dream home aspirations of potential home buyers through a remarkable private-public partnership with the Thane Municipal Corporation.

With renowned builders and focussed efforts on to garner increased footfalls, the Expo is a sprawling 1,26,000 sq. ft. fiesta for home and commercial buyers looking to buy,  lease or invest across categories - residential, luxury homes and villas, commercial office spaces, IT parks, logistics parks, non- pollutant industries and retail/ high street destinations.

Prominent & leading Mumbai developers like Hiranandani, Rustomjee and Kalpataru are presently displaying their properties across Thane and its peripheral areas.

Around half a dozen leading HFIs & Banks such as State Bank of India, India Bull Home Finance, etc. with main sponsors such as ICICI, HDFC and Thane’s leading Co-operative viz. Thane Janata Sahakari Bank Ltd., at the exhibition offer Home Loans at their best rates & lucrative deals.
