Baaya Design was found by Shibani Jain in 2009. Shibani has over 11 years of experience in crafts. Shibani Jain is a Graduate of the National Institute of Design, Ahmadabad.
In the last 10 years, she has worked specifically with corporate gifts and crafts at the grass root level, with various groups and NGO’s in Maharashtra, Orissa, Bengal and Rajasthan, bringing their products to newer contemporary markets.
She is very familiar with the real-life issues involved with the craft and gift sector. Prior to this she has worked in a senior management capacity with various multi-nationals in the corporate sector.
She has handled a number of different skills spanning design, production, quality, dedicated market channel development and sales.
It is her endeavor to give the Indian artisan a new lease of life by bridging the gap between his rustic environs and the ever expanding world we live in. She travels extensively to remote tribal settlements to meet with the artisans who craft the artworks that can grace your living space.
