‘Maha’ celebrations!

Maharashtra Foundation Day was celebrated on Wednesday by paying homage to 105 martyrs who laid down their lives for the cause of a 'samyukta' (unified) Maharashtra.

The official programme of the 59th Foundation Day was held at various places including Shivaji Park wherein Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao was the chief guest and Saket Grounds in Thane with Guardian Minister Eknath Shinde and Thane Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar congratulating the citizens of Maharashtrian for the progress made by the state in its 59 years of its existence.
