Just Out New Beauty Products We Love

Shahnaz Husain has introduced a new Yogaveda range, and we tried the Muscle Relaxant Oil, which is a powerful blend of oils created to ease muscle tension. The product contains lemongrass, wintergreen, thyme, eucalyptus and mint oils — ingredients you get a strong whiff of as soon as you pour some on your palm. Almond and groundnut oils are also present in the mix and the makers claim the range will help rid you of your fatigue and improve blood circulation, in addition to soothing your muscles, of course. You can either apply it on affected areas or massage it over your entire body; we tried it on our shoulders and back. It didn’t feel very oily or sticky and, barring the strong smell, after a couple of minutes we felt our body ease. It’s not miraculous in any way, but it does soothe an aching back — of that we can assure you. The bottle has a press-down cap and a translucent cover to prevent spillage. However, we’d prefer it if it had a spring dispenser to avoid squirting out excess oil, which happens with every press. We also tried the Peace of Mind Cream, which isn’t meant to be massaged in, but lightly applied on the pulse points of your body. It contains essential oils of mint, orange, eucalyptus and holy basil, and is created specifically to reduce stress. The cream comes in a small glass bottle with a golden cover. It has a similar smell as the muscle relaxant oil and you can’t be liberal when applying this cream. Just dab a little on to your wrists, temples and behind your ear lobes. Although the smell is a little too strong, it fades away quickly and a soothing feeling takes over. It won’t ease away your tensions with just a dab or two, but you end up feeling quite relaxed by the time you’ve settled down. All in all, we quite liked the products from the Yogaveda range that we tried.

Price Muscle Relaxant Oil for Rs 550, Peace of Mind Cream for Rs 425
