We know rose water lends itself to several beauty products ranging from refreshing mists and toners to face masks and soaps; provided it’s pure and organic. So, when we tried the Pure Rosewater from Kama Ayurveda, we did wonder what separates it from any other product in the market. Well, for starters, it is made from the roses of Kannauj — a region in North India, rich in white soil, which is conducive to the growth of roses. The Kannauj rose is considered special due to its similarity to the Bulgarian rose and what’s more is that the steam distillation process used to create this water ensures a high level of hygiene and purity. It’s safe to say I was bowled over by this simple beauty fix. The spray nozzle is so convenient that with every spurt I felt an instant burst of freshness. It has a pleasant, mild rose fragrance, which doesn’t linger after you apply it. The rose water is alcohol-free as well and it does not contain any artificial colour, chemicals or fragrance!
