LASTING LINES
In the wake of several bold eyeliners launched in the market recently, Elle 18 has recently introduced their latest, the Eye Drama Bold Black Kajal. The twist-up retractable kajal pencil comes in the all-too-familiar pink and black peppy casing that is synonymous with the brand. With a creamy soft texture that glides on smoothly, making it easier to apply, this is not patchy or dry and has a more glossy appearance than regular kajal. However, this means it’s not really smudge-proof, although it won’t wash off completely with water. We love how affordable it is, but it won’t last much longer than eight hours, and gets a little smudgy at the corners as the day wears on. We love how it looks on application though, so if you’re looking for a bold line or a smokey eye look, this is a nice, blendable option.

MATTE’S THE WAY
Matte lips have never been trendier, and Avon joins the bandwagon with its first matte lip colour, the True Colour Perfectly Matte Lipstick. Inspired by the shine-free lip trend, this lipstick is packed with intense colour. Available in classic shades such as Red Supreme and soft pinks like the Pure Pink, the range offers sophisticated long-lasting colour with weightless comfort. We tried the Mauve Matters shade, which we found to be perfect for work or a casual night out when you’d like some colour on your lips, but don’t want to draw too much attention to them. We love the chic matte black case that it comes in as well. The lipstick gives you a flawless finish without drying, caking or cracking. However, it lasts for just around four hours, after which it needs to be retouched and reapplied. Available in 10 suave shades that stay on, these lip colours are your new makeup must-haves.
