The NCPA, in association with The Shakespeare Edit, London, presents the world premiere of ‘Lucrece’ a dramatised version of ‘The Rape of Lucrece’ by William Shakespeare. Directed and adapted by Paul Goodwin, the lesser known Shakespearean work will be staged at NCPA’s CenterStage Theatre Festival, and will feature an international star cast from Britain and India, including Lucy Briggs-Owen, Portia van de Braam, Meher Mistry and Adarsh Gaurav. The narrative also deals with current issues of assault and patriarchy. Khushroo N Suntook, Chairman, NCPA, said, “By co-producing Lucrece, we emphasize that violence against women is unacceptable.”
