It’s all about creeping vines, pretty pink roses and fields of gold! Rhea Dhanbhoora brings you a few pieces to help you rock this year’s floral décor trend
Décor this season is summery, bright, colourful and all about being footloose and fancy free. Think of rose gardens, lilac stems and big floral designs running across your pillows and curtains. Sounds like too much? It isn’t! A big trend this season is the granny floral print, which is exactly what it sounds like — cosy spaces that are suffocating under the strain of floral doilies and valances. The trend has moved from furnishing to furniture — that’s right, pieces that are a big commitment to the trend instead of just a throw pillow or a sheer curtain. Take a look at what you could add to your space to get on board with the trend — but remember not to overdo it!

The trend has even done some good for charity this year! Varun Bahl designed this plush piece, adapting the brand’s signature florals into a luxe chair for an auction. Held by the NGO Khushii, which stands for Kinship for Humanitarian, Social and Holistic Intervention in India, the chair was sold with a matching ottoman. The entire set was auctioned off for Rs 2 lakh, the proceeds of which were donated to charity.
