The editorial director of Tara Books, V. Geetha, will be in deep conversation with journalist and author Jerry Pinto, to present arguments and discuss ideas on representing politics through art — a vivid discussion surrounding an intriguing topic. A novel way to discuss the scheming world of politics, the panellists will debate at length how presenting politics through art is a far more democratic option. Two new books will take centre stage on the day: ‘Another History of the Children’s Picturebook: from Soviet Lithuania to India’ and ‘God of Money’. The former recounts how art sustains democratic expression by surviving censorship, while the latter talks about how art represents traditions. A discussion that is free and open for all, it promises to be an intellectual session.
