Italy is known for its regional delicacies, and we can’t help but be smitten by Italian cuisine. So, those foodies who’re constantly looking for a tantalising experience have something to look forward to! Celebrating the love for Tuscan food and wine, Le Cirque at The Leela brings a festival that caters to all your continental cravings. Head chef Lorenzo Severini from Lucca has brought forth a new menu inspired by the colours of spring at Tuscany. Curated using complex textures and modern day ingredients, these delicacies are close to his heart and conceived from his native in Tuscany. Begin your meal with a comforting Cacciucco alla viareggina, a typical fish soup from Viareggio made with pomfret, scallops, shrimps, clams and squids, and try out a refreshing summer Tuscan salad called Panazanella. Relish the delightful Fagotto Fiorentino, made with Pecorino cheese, spinach and mushroom in a filo shell, with a Vietti Barbera d’ Alba wine, Tonno del Chianti, which is a Pork loin confit paired with a Querciabella Chianti Classico wine or an indulgent Fiorentina di tonno, a seared tuna steak marinated with Tuscan herbs alongside crispy vegetables paired with a Marchesi Antinori, Chianti Reserva. There are also famous Italian pastas on the menu for those who can’t do without them. End your meal with treats such as the Cantucci e vin santo, Zuppa inglese, Zuccotto and Pesche — traditional Italian desserts straight from Tuscany. So, make the most of what remains of this month and head over to Le Cirque!
