A Date Encore

So, your nerve-wracking first date went pretty well and you seemed to click. But, should you get in touch for a second? Khevna Pandit brings you a quick quiz to help you clear up the confusion

There’s nothing like first date anxiety. Going out with someone for the first time can either go well, or you may end up blocking their number. In any case, the experience is almost always unnerving. And, even if you’re usually pretty sure about what to expect after the first date, there are times when you need a second opinion to see what you’re heading towards. If you’re having trouble deciding whether to give your date a call or say yes to a second date request, take this quiz.

How would you describe your first date?
a) It was okay... I think. We shared a few good laughs.
b) We had a few awkward moments.

How did you meet?
a) We were matched on Tinder.
b) A common friend thought it was a good idea for us to get together.

Did you feel nervous during your date?
a) A little. But we were more or less fine.
b) Of course! Who wouldn’t?

If you had to choose, what would be one thing about them that you liked best?
a) Their sense of humour, and their ability to hold my attention through a conversation. I think that’s impressive!
b) Those eyes were dreamy!

Have you ever caught yourself daydreaming about them?
a) Subconsciously, but yes, I’m guilty.
b) No. That would be weird.

Can you picture yourself being serious about them?
a) Maybe... If we both feel the same way, then why not?
b) That makes me cringe. I don’t think so. Or at least, not so soon!

Mostly As: If you picked mostly As, you’re on the right track! Being a little unsure about going on a second date is normal. But, the two of you seem to be more than just friends already, so it seems like you’re ready for a second date. Everything, from their personality to their looks, appeals to you, and if you find yourself constantly thinking about them, then all you need is a nudge in the right direction. However, remember to take things slow and get to know them better before you decide to take the plunge into the relationship.

Mostly Bs: You probably didn’t need this quiz to help you realise that you’re not interested. Not only are you indifferent about their existence, you can’t picture yourself with him/ her for more than just a few dates. You may be better off as friends. Take this as a sign to move on in your search for that one person with whom there’s an instant spark instead of trying to make something out of nothing. However, remember that you have no idea what they are thinking and feeling about you, so turn them down gently.

Aries (Mar 21 - Apr 20)There will be problems more due to difficult view of colleagues. Be patient with those that are reacting more to your not being around than anything else. Be serious about building relationships both at work and at home. Perhaps you have been taking others for granted without realizing it. Relationships suffer if you let minor irritants upset you. A little effort from you would go a long way in bringing about peace.
