Actor Sameer Kochhar tells Rohit Pramar how he manages to stay in shape
Keep the workout fun
I like to keep my workouts fun and light. I do yoga to calm my mind and senses, weight-training to keep my body toned and I run to increase my stamina. I work out at least five days a week and for two hours daily.
My diet
I have five eggs for breakfast with a cup of black coffee. Then I have a protein shake after my workout. My lunch consists of chapatis, grilled chicken, dal and salad. In the evening, I eat idlis or a bowl of fruits. My dinner is almost the same as my lunch. However, I always eat my dinner early because it helps me digest my food better.
Steady and slow
Don’t work out because you want to lose weight or fat. Instead, work out because it keeps you healthy and sane. Adopt it as a part of your life and make it part of your routine. Never stress yourself out about it because that will just keep you unfit. Even a simple walk or run can be good exercise. Just be slow and steady and don’t overdo it.
