I am interested in making a career in international relations. I am currently studying second year Bachelor of Mass Media. Next year, I will have to take up specialisation in journalism or advertising. I want to know which one will help in my eventual aim at making a career in international relations. Also please guide me about several courses for international relations and where are those offered.

You can choose either of the specialisations, as the career opportunities will open after graduation either by clearing the Civil Services exams or by pursuing a Post graduation course in International Relations. Having a sound knowledge of Politics, Policies, Economics, International Trade and Law will be helpful to make a successful career in this field. The scope of International Relations in terms of employment lies in the diplomatic field or U.N. - related organisations, in positions such as that of diplomats, foreign affairs specialists, immigration specialists and so on.
