You are eligible for studying B.Sc-IT as well as Computer Science. You may choose any one of them and also upgrade your qualifications with various software certifications from any of the private computer institutes as offered from time to time. Please note that there are no colleges offering courses on sports journalism after class 12. After completing your Graduation you can opt for a Journalism course and with experience slowly move on to sports journalism. There are good opportunities for the people with excellent command in the language as well as in-depth knowledge of a particular sport in various magazines, newspapers, sports journals, electronic media and so on.
Q. My daughter is in grade 10 now. She is interested in studies related to becoming a Dietitian and a Nutritionist. Can she do this with BA, or Bsc ? —Shreeja Pillai
To become a dietician and nutritionist your daughter can take any one of the following routes:
- Take up Home Science and specialize in Food Science & Nutrition/Foods, Nutrition & Dietetics, or
- Take up B.Sc. [Chemistry/ Microbiology/ Life sciences] and after that study Post-Graduate Diploma in Dietetics/Applied Nutrition.
