The concept of packaging has acquired more value than ever now with the ‘shopping’ experience receiving a major boost with the coming of malls and departmental stores. Popularly known as a ‘silent’ salesman, packaging helps consumers quickly understand what the product is all about. For a factor that adds value to the product and connects with marketing, the packaging industry requires skilled personnel with creativity and a strong background in business, engineering, and science. What started with 15 students has now metamorphosed to a 300-student strong course and boasts of placements in some of the top MNCs.
It provides flexibility in designing programmes that prepare packaging professionals who are capable of meeting the future challenges in the industry. Headquartered in Mumbai, the course is conducted at IIP centres in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad.
