Activity High School recently celebrated its Golden Jubilee Anniversary to mark 50 Glorious Years of Excellence in Education at the Jamshed Bhabha Theatre (NCPA), Mumbai. The evening began with the office bearers singing the School Anthem followed by a gracious welcome dance by the students.
Dr. Immanuel, Chairman, Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), Boman Irani, Indian Film and Theatre Actor and Vada Dasturji Khurshed Dastoor, Chief Priest of Iranshah Atashbehram in Udvada and member of the National Minorities Community of India graced the function.
While addressing the audience, Mrs. Perin Bagli, Principal of Activity High School and Secretary Treasurer of Association of ICSE Schools in Maharashtra nostalgically spoke about the glorious journey of the School, from being called as a good School to becoming one of the best ICSE Institutions in South Mumbai. She also paid tribute to the former Principal and founder of Activity High School, Mrs. Dolat Doongaji and promised to take her vision of imparting quality education to children forward.
A special Golden Jubilee Edition of the School’s Magazine called Zenith was unveiled at the function by the Distinguished Guests and the Principal together. Zenith showcased works of the talented children in various domains like academics, literature, arts, culture, sports and theater.
The audiences were shown a short Documentary Film put together by one of the ex-students, featuring candid moments shared by the teaching faculty, ex-student parents and the children themselves, narrating their experience of being a part of this wonderful Institution. As a mark of gratitude the School felicitated the teaching faculty and the staff members for their years of service and commitment in contributing to keep the spirit of the School alive.
The latter half of the evening was full of fun and amusement with a section of ‘That’s Entertainment’ which traced numerous foot-tapping Broadway musicals like Cinderella, Hello Dolly and Grease that elated the audience. The enchanting visual effects on the Croma screen complimented the energy and expressions of the children which took the acts to a whole new level of brilliancy. The efforts of the children and alumni to put up a show of this magnitude was applauded and appreciated by everyone. The evening instilled a renewed sense of enthusiasm and fond memories of the School in the audience.
