TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES — OUT OF THE SHADOWS
Cast: Megan Fox, Will Arnett, Stephen Amell, Tyler Perry, Gary Anthony Williams, Sheamus, Brian Tee.
Directed by: Dave Green
The very lovable pizza eating Turtles are back. Brothers in green, Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael zip through the film all over, but as the title says, they prefer to work out of the shadows and do their bit for changing the world. The live-action would be fun to watch on an enhanced 3D player which would surely make an impact on the viewer. The fun action spectacle leaves you questioning whether in reality stunts in the film can be actually attempted, but then we have something called special effects that do the unbelievable.
The Turtles (voice actors) who have saved New York City in the past, are back to show that they really love the city. The four alongside April O’Neil (Megan Fox), Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett), and the hockey-masked vigilante Casey Jones (Stephen Amell), team up to combat super villain Shredder (Brian Tee) who has escaped from police custody. The car chase is edge of the seat excitement. Shredder manages to give the turtles the slip and break free with two of his co inmates Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams) and Rocksteady (Stephen “Sheamus” Farrelly), who devise a plan to take over the world. Turtle power takes over and the brothers prepare to take on Shredder and his new crew, but they find themselves facing an even greater threat from someone with similar intentions, namely the notorious Krang who wants to take over the world with his Technodrome.
Shredder meets up with his old friend mad scientist Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry) and gets packed off to space to face the wrath of Krang. From then on the turtles take on an adventure they never ever expected.
Just like past Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles movies, it is good facing evil. But lurking around, there is a lot of teamwork from the brothers. Good fun to watch, with a bit of humor thrown in.
Bonus features include We Are Family, It's Tricky: Inside the Van and a few deleted scenes.
