We have seen Barbie in a lot of different roles and settings over time. Her next role is sure to get our little tiny tots excited. Princess, pop star, fairy, mermaid and even a Sci fi spacewoman. These are only a very small of the various roles we have seen the iconic blonde tackle. Barbie has completed over fifty plus years of gracing the shelves of stores around the world. No girls have ever missed keeping one of them in their collection. Barbie has change over time, and has grown more and more beautiful with the passing years.
In this fantasy story, Barbie takes on a difficult task. In a galaxy far away, Barbie is enlisted to help save the star light. Alongwith her devoted pet, Pupcorn, she flies off on a hoverboard to a far-off planet. One day, everything changes when the twinkling galaxy stars start to dim and slow their dance in the sky. Barbie knows something is terribly wrong. She travels to Capital Planet to join a special rescue team on a mission to save the stars. Once there, she meets galactic hoverboard champion Sal-lee and a team of talented new friends and with them she tries to unravel the mystery behind the dimming stars. The King wants to have his way but then relents when he realizes that what Barbie is actually doing is right.
She understands that if Barbie listens to her heart, and with the help of her friends, she might be the leader the whole universe has been waiting for.
There is no rivalry among the characters, it’s all in good fun and an easy to relate story. Beautiful character animation, only thing the pet in this movie is a bit scary at first, but tolerable. The focus is mostly about the adventure of going too far off places, meeting new challenges, and meeting new people. The clothing of Barbie is in keeping with is product, quite spectacular. Good story and songs too.
