It was former chess grandmaster Vishwanathan Anand’s 49th birthday a few days ago. The world beater, who resides in Chennai along with his wife Aruna and seven-year-old son Akhil, posted this on social media along with an image of his birthday cake: “Thanks (for your wishes) everyone! Has been a lovely birthday! Waking up to this is always special. The cake has to wait for Akhil to come from school! But I did get to lick the (cake-) beater.” Vishy also posted a birthday card that his son had made for him which reads: “Happy birthday Appa. I love you Appa... I like to be funny. I want to be with Appa,” which had the drawing of a castle and what-appears-to-be a globe coloured on it. Seems like daddy and son share the most awesome bond ever, doesn’t it?
