It’s definitely been a great year for actor Ranveer Singh. The film ‘Padmaavat’ in which he delivered such an impressive performance went on to set a new record at the box office grossing over Rs500 crores worldwide. By the end of the year Ranveer’s portrayal of Alauddin Khilji in the film has already won him the Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award and the Star Screen award for Best Actor and the awards season has only just begun! And ‘Simmba’ his latest release where he plays a typical Maharashtrian male (with both strengths and foibles) has got off to a roaring start having grossed over Rs44 crores during the first two days of its domestic run. What’s more, the actor got married to the belle of the nation and of his heart, Deepika Padukone, in November and, as we write this, the two have just headed out on their honeymoon to an undisclosed destination. These are heady days indeed and we wish the young actor all the best – nothing succeeds like success and it’s something this talented Young Turk well deserves.
