The Sahar police has registered a FIR against an unidentified person for allegedly molesting a teenage Bollywood actor on the Vistara Delhi-Mumbai flight. FIR was registered on Sunday after actor shared her ordeal on social media.

After the FIR was registered against the person, a massive manhunt have been launched by Mumbai police to nab the culprit, but identification of the person has not been established yet. But on the basis of primary information, a case was registered under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).

The statement of the victim was recorded by the police, in which she mentioned that, she was on her way to Mumbai from Delhi, she was sitting on seat no.1-F while male passenger was sitting on 2-F where male passenger tried to made advances with his foot.

After she reached  Mumbai, the 17-year-old girl took to Instagram to share the horrific experience with her fans and followers, and broke down highlighting how no one helped, saying, “this is not done.”

Sharing the traumatic experience on an Instagram chat, the actor said that this was not how one should be treated or made to feel… this is terrible. She went on to question the airline by asking “Is this is how they will take care of girls?”

She even shared a few images from her two-hour journey from Delhi to Mumbai and “managed” to get a snap of a foot sticking out behind her seat, resting on the armrest.

Describing the ordeal, she said that the foot movement continued for 5-10 minutes and the man kept nudging her shoulder and moved his foot up and down her back and neck. The dimming of the cabin lights made things worse.

Her Instagram Live video created a huge buzz across social media platforms and politicians and actors and sports personalities all came out to support the young girl.

Following the uproar, Air Vistara issued a statement saying they are looking into the incident and has zero tolerance for such behaviour. “We @airvistara have seen the reports regarding… experience with another customer on board our flight last night. We are carrying out detailed investigation and will support (the actor) in every way required. We have zero tolerance for such behaviour.”

It is better to get to the root of the problem and sort it out even if it means a change in your approach and style of working. You will be expected to work harder and that too with no incentives in sight. Things are not as bad as they look for there are hidden gains.
