PSI Naushad Pathan while on night patrolling saw several people sitting drinking alcohol, on the road.  All were hollering under the influence of alcohol while Pathan asked them to leave the place, they started abusing him, not just abuse, they also assaulted him and damaged his bike too. Pathan called additional forces and  managed to catch two accused, even as the others escaped from the spot. In the process,  Pathan sustained injury on his finger. The arrested accused were produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody, their advocate applied for bail but court put forth a demand of rupees one lakh each for their bail.  They did not make bail arrangement and the two accused are now in jail.

Last month an incident was reported and registered at the Vanrai police station where an unknown car driver hurt and fled after hurting a police constable during nakabandi on Western Express highway, the Vanrai police registered the case and are searching for the accused.

Two more incidents of assaults and abuse of police were reported at the Kherwadi and Kasturba Marg police station on 27th July night, and five people were booked and arrested by the police. In Kherwadi a police team was checking motor vehicles during nakabandi, they stopped one auto and was checking driver badge and license and uniform.  The passenger sitting in the auto came out and started abusing the duty officer and later assaulted him. Police booked the accused under section 332 and 353 of IPC.

The police wireless mobile van of Kasturba Marg police went to enquire about loud music late at night at Datta Pada area.  A birthday party was being  celebrated there and many people were drinking and dancing to the loud and raucous music. Police officials tried to stop the music, but the peope who were celebrating  got angry and stated abusing them, the police officials booked and arrested four of them and seized the DJ system and hauled the offenders to the police station along with the equipment.
