Vidya Ashok, Founder, Kairos Investment Centre

Vidya Ashok, founder of Kairos Investment Centre and was previously associated with a Wealth Management firm. After gaining experience in investments, she decided to set up her own Investment Centre. That’s how ‘Kairos Investment Centre’ came into being.

In less than a year of having ventured into the IFA space, the organization has already built up a sizeable client base and a steadily increasing AUM.

In conversation with Dominic Rebello, Vidya says her goal is to make her clients wealthy through well researched wise investment decisions.

What is the idea behind Kairos Investment Centre?
The word “Kairos” is a Greek word which means ‘’Opportunity” and hence the name. We at Kairos want every common man to be financial literate and invest in Mutual Funds which is the best asset when it comes to investments. Moreover, there are people who are unaware of the financial opportunities available due to lack of proper guidance and planning. Thus we started Kairos Investment Centre with a view to provide unbiased financial solutions in Mutual Funds for the common masses. “We believe in making the money work harder for you” through well researched Mutual Funds.

How are you different from others?
We educate the client rather than push a product. We work towards the client’s goal keeping his best interests in mind. Right from the time of investing till the end we are continuously monitoring the fund performance and suggest relevant measures to be taken by the client as and when required. Last but not the least we cater to all classes of people rather than focus on HNI’s.

What explicates your rapid client base growth?
Results speak! Our existing investors are extremely satisfied with their portfolio performance and recommend us to their near and dear ones.  We have a good client base because of referrals and “Word of Mouth”. Thus, our client base is expanding rapidly by the day.

How do you maintain relations with clients?
Communication & Empathy are the keys to maintain any relations in life. Hand-holding is there prior to them becoming our clients and we constantly update them on current and changing economic scenario through various means of communication. We are open to discussions from clients on the investment topic and are transparent in our profession on regular basis.

Where do you see yourself five years down the road?
Well, my mission is to impart financial knowledge and encourage the common masses to invest in Mutual Funds and achieve their different stages life goals through us. As an industry Mutual Fund is yet to grow by leaps and bounds and the investments in future will be mainly seen from other cities and towns of India. Hence, in the coming 5 years, due to our rapid expansion we see ourselves penetrating different cities and towns in India. Then in 5 years I can say that “we have achieved the results of our mission when our clients have achieved their goals”.

Aries (Mar 21 - Apr 20)You could be running behind schedule in a certain assignment. In your anxiety to get things done in a hurry you could end up over looking some important details. Your plans to make up for lost time at home could also run into some rough weather because of the attitude of a family member. Try not to be overly sensitive with loved ones but look on the positive side of all that you have. Perhaps you are taking a lot for granted.
