Vishal Kulkarni is one of the founding members and director at Faber Infinite Creative Solutions Pvt Ltd., Vishal spearheads the delivery and capacity building function. He has worked in the domain of organizational transformation with 30+ clients across a range of industries including steel, Plastics, Pharmaceuticals, Agriculture, Tea industry, Confectionaries, Bakery, Food Products, Paper Products, service sector etc. in India, Africa & Middle East. He has trained 1500+ employees in various tools & techniques. He brings in diverse experience of more than 15 years in organizational culture building and design. In conversation with Dominic Rebello, he reveals how he goes down to the grass root level so that viable methodology and solutions can be developed and implemented

Why do you consider yourselves as blue collared consultants?
We believe in action on the shop floor rather than restricting ourselves to board room consulting. All our team members are hands on and actually alongside the client team members in the real field, on real solutions. We are always eager to explore new opportunities and work on them. It’s our strong belief that an organization has endless opportunities to improve and it is a never ending process. Being Blue collared consultants we make sure that the challenges are being examined at the grass root level so that viable methodology and solutions can be developed and implemented. We support in actual implementation of solutions till the gains are actually realized.

How big is the potential for a business like yours? Any major customers that you now cater to?
Potential is huge, with developing countries as well as developed countries, there is no end to improvement and change. And with our unique offerings and methodology which is result based and track record of surpassing all promised milestones at client end, the potential is immense. We intend to scale up the venture at fast pace, which includes expanding presence in Central & West Africa, and explore in south East Asia in next 5 years. Which will also require increasing the team strength to around 50 members in the consulting team and total team of around 100 members!
Our sector neutral offerings enable us to cater to clients vary from different segments and sectors.  

What is the USP of Faber Infinite?
The key differentiator of Faber Infinite is not only to equip our clientele with state of the art management practices on Strategic & Operational level, but also supporting them to sustainably implement these practices for long term gains. We take a stand for our clients and promise of nothing less than 20 times return on the investment, in first couple of years of implementation, which is recurring in nature. It is our strong belief to under commit and over perform to achieve client delight.

Consulting - Transformation support is one of our key revenue stream, where apart from nominal engagement fees, we also assure enhanced accountability by success based fees. We are the only consulting organization in the region which guarantees returns on consulting investment.
Proven hands on experience in Organizational Transformation by Expert consultants serving clients across Asia Pacific, Africa and Middle East, across more than 7 countries now. The number of sectors which we have touched upon is one the paramount USP with our team strength.

Who would primarily be your consumer audience?
Our audience would be any organization or institution (private – public or not for profit) which is progressive and looking for structured growth and sustainable results. Going in details, depending on the technology product or consulting solutions, the buyer profile might be different but overall it falls under one domain called as transformation/ continual improvement, etc.

Where do you see yourself five years down the road?
Further to our philosophy, where People are at the core of any business, we intend to expand our consulting portfolio by focusing on “People Excellence”.

We have signed up MoUs with Government of Gujarat and Universities in Africa to build on the capacity development and capability building aspects.

We share collective vision of Zero Defects and Zero Effects to make India competitive and assist in realizing dream of ‘Make In India’. In addition, our technology solutions are fetching good traction from African markets. It will address the big gap in planning and execution needs of the industry and also offer emerging concepts of Internet of Things. Our next steps would be inculcating IoT into our technology offerings for better sustenance at client ends. We are working to integrate technology offerings as part of organizational transformation offerings. Our future plan is to increase our non-consulting revenue 3 fold by end of next FY.

We want to craft solutions for clients, craft teams to work on the solutions and in turn craft great organization, which offers growth solutions to our clients, and all the stakeholders.
