What is the idea behind BoredRoom Comedy?
We are a team of MBAs and CAs who have worked in the corporate sector for many years. We are a startup that aims at making corporate engagements slightly humorous, fun and a little unorthodox than the standard boring corporate templates. We believe we can fundamentally transform the way employees, clients and all stakeholders, engage, learn and connect. From future leaders to top management. From workshops using comedy for leadership development to humours storytelling to inspire, comedy is the bridge that connects us all.
How are you different from others?
BoredRoom Comedy is India’s only Corporate Comedy Consultancy. We are the only ones who provide content that is not only appropriate but also relevant as it is customized to content. Our deep corporate experience and work with multiple marquee clients across sectors like Nomura, Vodafone, Piramal, Aditya Birla, Mondelez, Unilever, Motilal Oswal, Economic Times, Great Place to Work etc provides us with the base to do so.
Any expansion plans?
Having established a premier position in Corporate Comedy in India, we are now looking to take the model abroad with some positive results in Malaysia and Singapore. Even globally, there is no branded player dedicated to the corporate comedy space and we see great synergies with our work.We are also working on properties ranging from a business news based comedy series to a full fledged office entertainment.
Your vision for the company?
My vision 2020 is to become one of the premier entertainment companies in India. Wait, that's next year. I'm way behind on my goals lol. To be the TVF of Corporate Comedy in production, and the foremost provider of Engagement and Learning Solutions using comedy Globally.
Where do you see yourself five years down the road?
In Bandra.. and also as the one stop for comedians, artists and corporates to show that the art and corporate world can add value to each other as long as they have the right platform and interface.
