Sanjeev Gupta is the Founder and CEO of Global Advertisers. His extraordinary skills reflect his unique approach to his business tactics. Under his efficient and effective leadership, the company has grown by leaps and bounds. In an industry first, Sanjeev created dedicated cells comprising media planners, marketers and operations personnel that cater to specific market segments like finance, entertainment and films corporate, IPOs and retailing. Sanjeev brings to the table 17 years in the OOH marketing and advertising industry as an entrepreneur and innovator.
In conversation with Dominic Rebello, Sanjeev provides details of his plans
Tell us about your journey?
The journey so far has been dynamic, informative and challenging. It has managed to keep us on toes and up- to-date. We have moulded ourselves according to the market to keep up with the pace of changes. We update our packages for clients as requirements knock our doorsteps. This helps us stay relevant in present for our clients and carry forward business.
My brother, Rajeev and I began our journey at the age of 16 from MM Mithaiwala. After that we went on to get a monopoly in wall painting. However, until 8 months we couldn’t get any work because we lacked knowledge of the advertising world. However, we found a niche in the OOH market. The hoarding business isn’t easily honestly because it demands a lot of monetary investments. We soon learned the basic and the advanced ways of pitching and getting business from clients. Today, we have clients from across the spectrum that believe in our services.
How are you different from others or your USP?
Global Advertisers has and always works as per client’s requirements. We cater to fulfill all the demands put forth by the client and bring to light the best execution possible. Our USP is our customized packages for every client as per their delegated budget and proposed requirement.
Tell us something about the competition in your business?
We always compete to be better than the previous day. Our clients, their requirements and to achieve the target set by them every single day is the competition we face. It wouldn’t be wrong if I say we compete with ourselves on a daily basis. We work according to our clients, whereas in the industry many other competitors work according to themselves and their set of rules, regulation and motives.
What are your future plans or projects?
Undoubtedly, our major goal is to provide the best services to our clients so that we live up to their trust in us. Talking about future plans, we at Global Advertisers have now extended our services to a full-fledged creative agency called, “The Agency”. The Agency is a dynamic Brand Design and Innovative Solutions Communication agency. The Agency delivers services like Advertising, Designing and Strategic planning, Media buying, Web marketing, Television & Radio commercials and Video production.
What is the latest trend in the industry?
The latest trend in OOH is the DOOH (Digital Out of Home). Overseas DOOH gained popularity much before it did in India. However, since its inception, it has changed the face of outdoor advertising and is proving to be an innovative and interactive medium of communication. The most outstanding feature of DOOH lies in recognition, it acts as a medium of emotional connect with its targeted audience through visuals.
