Adani Ports Raises $ 650 Mn Via Dollar Bond Issue
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) yesterday raised USD 650 million (around Rs 4,100 crore) via its debut dollar bond issue and the proceeds will be used to refinance foreign currency denominated debts and fund capital expenditure. In a BSE filing, APSEZ said "it has priced a Rule 144A/Regulation S offering of USD 650 million 3.50 senior unsecured notes due 2020." It further said: "The use of proceeds is to refinance foreign currency denominated external commercial borrowings and fund capital expenditure."
Scheme To Install One Lakh Solar Pumps By Government
The government is implementing a scheme to install one lakh solar pumps for irrigation and drinking water, Parliament was informed yesterday. "The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy is implementing programme for installation of 1,00,000 solar pumps for irrigation and drinking water through State Nodal Agencies and NABARD," Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy Minister Piyush Goyal said in a written reply in the Lok Sabha. He further said that the ministry provides 30% capital subsidy to farmers for installation of solar pumps for irrigation purpose through state nodal agencies.

BMW Launches ‘X6 Sports Activity Coupe’ At Rs 1.15 Cr
World's third largest luxury car maker BMW India yesterday launched a souped-up version of its premium sports activity car X6 coupe for Rs 1.15 crore ex-showroom, national. The 6-liter, 8-speed machine is the second generation of the X6 Series and is being sold as a completely built unit and will be available for sale across the BMW showrooms, BMW India Group president Philipp von Sahr told reporters here. He said the X6 coupe is the only sports activity coupe in the world, adding "BMW established the sports activity coupe segment with the introduction of X6 series."
Alstom’s Proposed JV Bags Rs 1,497 Cr Contract From DFCCIL
The proposed joint venture of Alstom India Ltd and Alstom Transport S.A. Has bagged Rs 1,497 crore worth contract from Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd (DFCCIL). "The proposed joint venture of Alstom India Ltd (AIL) and Alstom Transport S.A. (ATSA) has been issued a letter of acceptance by Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd," Alstom said in a BSE filing yesterday.
