In conversation with Dominic Rebello, Zairus says, “Our vision is to up-skill the Indian talent pool to adapt to the changing job landscape.”

What is the idea behind Shine Learning?
Shine Learning was conceptualized as we felt that there was a huge potential in the e-learning category. Our internal study showed that there is a plethora of jobs in the market, but the recruiters are finding it difficult to get candidates with required skill sets. Our study also revealed that there are a lot of employees who were unable to move forward due to the lack of required skills. So, in order to bridge this gap between the recruiters and the job seekers, we came up with Shine Learning.

How is Shine Learning different from others?
Shine Learning prepare candidates for the future and not just for their next job. Shine Learning uses the recruitment industry insights of Shine.com to predict emerging skill sets based on recruiter searches and maps it to the right selection of courses. Since, the portal follows a marketplace model instead of exclusive content model of most other players in the industry, it allows Shine Learning to source the latest courses available in the market both from established and upcoming cutting-edge course providers.

Your vision for the company?
Our vision is to up-skill the Indian talent pool to adapt to the changing job landscape. Our strategy is simple- fill the gaps of hiring industry by providing professionals, who’re equipped with in-demand courses and skill-sets. We bring this alive by reaching out to credible course providers across the globe and becoming the largest marketplace for online professional courses & certifications.

Tell us about the upcoming trends in the learning landscape?
Basis our recent study, we have seen the following emerging trends in the learning landscape.

  •     Self-learning will see immense growth
  •     In the next 5-10 years, professionals in a 30-year career will have to reskill themselves at least 15-20 times to stay relevant to their job industry.
  •     With more and more professionals joining the workforce, existing classroom infrastructure won’t be enough to support it. With the advancement of digital with more connected devices and on the go content, reskilling will move completely online
  •     Data Analysis will lead to more personalized learning experience
  •     Micro-learning that is breaking content into smaller units to enhance focus and learning.
  •     Interactive learning tools and methodologies-more video content, AI/VR assistance, gamification.

Where do you see yourself five years down the road?
Our vision is to equip the Indian workforce and bridge the gap between talent and opportunities. We will strive to provide the best of in-demand courses by choosing right partners & associations, and become largest of its kind. We believe, over the coming time, Shine Learning backed with predictive & accurate data algorithm will become a go-to platform for all the working professionals.
