At the Interactive Meeting between Bineshwaree Napaul, Consul General of the Republic of Mauritius and Vijay G. Kalantri, President, All India Association of Industries (AIAI), Y. R. Warerkar, Director General, World Trade Center Mumbai and Rupa Naik, Sr. Director, World Trade Center Mumbai, it was deliberated that:
There are tremendous opportunities for Doing Business in Mauritius, as also by using Mauritius as a hub to the African Continent.
AIAI and WTC shall have a regular dialogue with the Consul General of the Republic of Mauritius to promote trade and investment opportunities in the field of pharma, engineering, textiles and financial services between India and Mauritius.
Also present on this occasion, were Pramodh Menon VK, Vice President & Head Overseas Business and Abhiit Bhagavath, Sr. Relationship Manager, Financial Institutions & Overseas Business, SBM Bank (India) Ltd., who showed keen interest in financing India’s trade and investment opportunities with Mauritius.
Today, trade between India and Mauritius stands at about USD 1.23 billion which could be doubled in the next 3 years.
