
Mumbai based builders, Acme Group yesterday unveiled their future plans for the next 5-7 years. Its growth blueprint aims to make it among the biggest developers in western India, with its plans to develop about 10 million square feet of residential and commercial real estate at Mumbai and Gujarat.
The Company currently has over Rs. 4000 crores of project inventory through 8 live projects having 4.5 million sq. ft. Says Pravin Doshi, Chairman of Acme Group, "While we are proud of our contributions on improving the real estate landscape of Mumbai, we see a clear shift in the consumer preferences in near future. Consumers of tomorrow will be fully conscious of their responsibilities towards environment and society. Towards this end, we have initiated a slew of activities to get ready for future."
According to the company, “All future construction will be LEEDS certified. The Company has signed up with Godrej as a sustainability partner. Mumbai will remain as a key area of focus where Acme Group has drawn up plans to be leaders in quality affordable housing, Society redevelopment, slum rehabilitation projects and green-field projects”.
The Group has been a part of Mumbai’s real estate fraternity for almost 4 decades and has successfully developed over 4.5 million sq. ft. at through nearly 100 projects in residential, commercial, retail and industrial real estate. The Company is credited with providing free housing and upgrading over 1500 slum tenements, redeveloping and upgrading approximately 700 MHADA Society members and creating over 2400 Rental Housing units under MMRDA schemes.
Among other initiatives, the Acme Group also adopted a new brand identity that blends tradition and ethos with a modern outlook. Munish Doshi, Managing Director of Acme Group said, "Our new brand identity is a graphic depiction of how we would look at our business in future. While we remain firmly rooted to our culture and ethos, our outlook to business will be contemporary and responsible." He continued, "Towards this end, we have designed all future projects to be fully compliant on environment-friendly parameters." The Company is investing in equipment to reduce maintenance costs in the long run - motion sensor lighting in common areas, LED lights, solar panels, rainwater harvesting and more.
