
The three months old BJP led Maharashtra government has worked out a multi pronged strategy which will not only push up the industrial growth of the state but pull back the Maharashtra on the top of “Most Preferred Investment Destination”, said Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra at the Maharashtra Economic Development Summit held last Friday.
The state government is working on agenda for pushing the growth rate which have gone down in last 15 years. “We will create the required infrastructures including 72 KM of Metro Tracks, Panvel elevated rail project, and technology based institutions and decentralize the authorities” added Fadnavis. The Maharashtra government will also remove the human interferences which will ultimately reduce the red-tapism, he said.
The CM also presented the various awards, released Knowledge Report and announced the NRI Business Summit to be held on 11-12 Jan 2016. He awarded the SME Chamber of India's citation and an award to Avinash Gupta, Founder and CEO of bookmycab.com for constant innovation in technology for improving productivity and efficiency of public and private taxis in India.
Receiving the award Avinash Gupta, Founder & CEO, Bookmycab.com, said, “I am greatly honoured and humbled by receiving this recognition. Innovation has been core to my entrepreneurial vision and this recognition today strengthens my resolve to continue to strive for innovative solutions for larger public good and betterment of human life.”
The CM Summit jointly organized by the Maharashtra Industrial and Economic Development Association (MIEDA), Government of Maharashtra, India-Japan SME Business Council, India International Trade Centre (IITC-INDIA), India-China Business Council, Packaging Industry Association of India, India-GCC SME Business Council and SME Chamber of India.
