Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) celebrated 72nd Independence Day with Indian Classical Music performance of Flute by Pt Hari Prasad Chaurasia Gurukul. The Flute player ms Amrita was felicitated at the hands of Deepak Kapoor, CEO, SRA.
WR Organises Seminar on Security Of Women & Children
Senior Railway officers are seen attending the seminar organised on implementation of “Action Plan on Empowerment and Security of Women & Child passengers” at W. Rly Headquarter Office, Churchgate recently.
Piyush Goyal, Minister of Railways has declared the year 2018-19 as 'The year dedicated to the security of Women and Children' and W. Rly is taking various measures to control as well as curb the offences against women & children in railway premises.
WR organises Special Bike Rally
The Railway Police Force of Western Railway organized a special motorcycle rally in order to promote All India Toll Free Security Helpline 182 & to create awareness on the social issue of women security. Through this rally, the RPF aimed to increase public awareness regarding the same and instill a sense of security in commuters, especially the women commuters.
WR GM hoists the National Flag
The 72nd Independence Day was celebrated on Western Railway with the National Flag hoisted by A.K.Gupta, General Manager, Western Railway. On this august occasion, he inspected the ceremonial parade, took salute of march past and extended his greetings to all Railwaymen and their families.

The Biggest Study Abroad Fair of the Year will be held in Mumbai on 2nd September from 10.30 am to 5.00 pm at Hotel Sahara Star in Mumbai. Students will be able to attend several country-specific seminars. U.S. Consulate representative will be giving a free seminar on "USA student visa process" at 12:00 pm. BOI celebrates Independence Day
The 72nd Independence Day was celebrated in the forecourt of Bank of India Head Office Building, "The Star House" on August 15, 2018. The tricolor was unfurled by Dinabandhu Mohapatra, MD & CEO followed by the National Anthem. The staff and their family members were addressed by Mohapatra.
