Art, to Subrata Sen, is a language of the emotions. He believes that art has power to take one to a different world – a world where there are no boundaries, religion and prejudices, where life seems to be in balance and in perfect harmony. He has learnt art through constant demonstration and practice. It is the best medium to discover one's inner self. He considers painting as his life, love, passion, a way of relaxation. His forte is painting women. He loves to paint the 'Desert Beauty' as he is fascinated by the uniqueness and culture of Rajasthan.
He is also working on a Radha Krishna series. He does not believe in pain and sadness and hence throughout, he tries to add something to the world.
Subrata Sen is a self-taught artist.
The exhibition will be presented by Painted Rhythm Art Gallery at the Bajaj Art Gallery. The show begins on Monday and goes on till May 10th. An element of the spirit is present in the women of Sen. The physical impact is there but what comes out in the paintings are waves of the romantic. Sen has effectively brought out this aspect. A gentle impact is produced.
