Pradip Ghadge perhaps is essentially a figurative painter. He does landscapes too – but always with images of people. It is the well thought out use of colour that we see in his works. The face of the man is almost in muted colour; we can just about make out the facial features. What he wants to lay emphasis is the costume which the man wears on his body. It is in bright red with streaks of white, blue and white.
Vasudev's costume is more important perhaps to the artist than his face.
The entire image looks good. It shows the high-calibre conception of the artist.
In another painting, we see tied up boats with a bunch of small children – either watching the scenario or involved in some innocent discussion.
Ghadge hails from Karjat which abounds in breathtakingly beautiful greenery.
By dwelling more on certain chosen aspects of a theme, he almost brings out a new overall look.
Evidently, he is making a statement of his individual perception and style.
