There are only two types of people: mystics and mistakes

OF Mystics & Mistakes by Sadhguru, yogi, mystic and visionary is heralded as a ‘journey from confusion to clarity, from error to enlightenment, from self-deception to self-discovery.’ The promise is that each one of us can make that journey. Reading this book has been an enjoyable experience, with benefits derived through massive changes in perspective. How long we hold on to the rewards, or whether we can exist and operate in the enlightened state is wholly up to us. A tenacious integration with the truth can mean a lovely change in your life and in the lives of those around you.

There are many pleasant observations and witticisms of Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. His Isha Foundation conducts several yoga programs, some especially for corporates, in India and many other countries around the world, with the aim of giving all people the scope to tap into the fascinating benefits of yoga and utilise them to improve their own lives.

That dimension of truth which cannot be boxed into your logical mind, cannot be perceived by the five senses, is being labeled ‘mystical.’ When you say you want to explore mysticism, you are saying that you are willing to go beyond your present levels of understanding and experience, and look for the truth.
What is light for you is darkness for somebody else. What is darkness for you is light for somebody else. When the sun will set and you will experience darkness, a whole range of creatures will come awake, because for them darkness is an alarm bell. The day has begun for them. With whom are you going to argue as to which is light and which is darkness? If you and an owl sit together and start an argument as to which is light and which is darkness, where would it take you?

Intuition is not a different dimension of perception…Intuition is just a quicker way of arriving at the same answer, making use of the data and jumping the steps. The intuitive mind skips the logical steps, whereas the logical mind goes through the process, the necessary logical steps.

‘Make everything yours. Why be stingy with your greediness?’ ‘Everywhere else people believe God is the Creator and you are a piece of creation. This is the only culture where we know that we can create a god.’
