Yesteryears diva, Zeenat Aman is facing the arc lights again, but this time it’s for the web. She is debuting online in a feel good romantic comedy youth based show called Love, Life & Screw Ups!!!
The actress is playing a super glam spinster, Joanna, full of life, fun and positivity. A non-apologetic vain and part of a chilled out group, Zeenat has always being the norm breaker, with the kind of unconventional choice of roles from Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Don, Qurbani, Insaaf ka Tarazu to Dunno Y Na Jaane Kyun.
Now again, when her contemporaries are walking the safe tried and tested zone of films and TV, Zeenat is venturing on web. She has worked really hard to look her best in the series. For three months, she's been on a strict diet and rigorously working out to get in the right shape for the super glam Joanna. The look of the show is grand and glossy.
Actor and writer of 11 international award winner, Dunno Y Na JaaneKyun, now known as Kapil Kaustubh Sharma, has written the script and he will be debuting in direction with it. Kapil says “Zeenat is one star, who is a timeless diva and her fans are spread all over the world! She has countless number of fans abroad, who are regularly active on the net. Her acting on web is great news for her Indian and international fans who were wanting to see her again. It will be a treat to see her in not only glam look again, but to see her crazy comical side, which were seen in movies like Manaronjan, Heera Panna and Yaadon Ki Baraat.”
Though Kapil had to wait for two months before he got to meet the veteran actress, he admits that she was unsure about going digital but was hooked on when she heard the concept, even remarking that “this could have been a movie!”
The shooting of the series is nearly on completion. The show will be aired with English subtitles keeping the global audience in mind. Zeenat has taken an active interest in her styling. Her look is inspired from the ‘70s; she’ll be seen in long skirts, scarves and large goggles.
