Even as showbiz circles are agog with excitement over star-dude Shahid Kapoor’s ‘big fat wedding’ in Gurgaon, on July 7, there are hush-hush whispers that vivacious Bollywood actress Geeta Basra is all set to take the matrimonial plunge with her beau celeb cricketer Harbhajan ‘Bhaji’ Singh.
Interestingly, Harbhajan, known for his brilliant bowling, has pitched in a striking ‘cameo appearance’ as Geeta’s soulmate in her upcoming Hindi Dharmendra-starrer movie ‘Second-hand Husband’.
Reacts ‘soni kudi’ Geeta, “Yes all that’s true that ‘Bhaji’ has acted opposite me in my movie. It's also because he is a close buddy of the movie's director Smeep Kang. But we still have to take a final call on our decision about marriage. As and when there is any decision to get married, I will publicly proclaim the 'khush khabri'. Why should I do it discreetly,” counters the Basra babe who is still remembered for her seductive role as ‘the other woman’ in the Emran Hashmi movie ''The Train''. Wasn’t it true, that Harbhajan is literally the ‘Man of the (matrimonial) Match’ for her? With a mock frown she shrugs, “Humne kab manaa kiya. It goes without saying, that ‘Bhaji’ and I definitely share a special bonding and our friendship has been out in the open.
Currently we are in the midst of celebrating Harbhajan’s 35th birthday and that’s the only revelry agenda on the cards,” insists Geeta who originally hails from Portsmouth (U.K.) and is a trained actress.
