A frothy dialogue in the trailer of the latest Deol parivaar franchise movie ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana—Phir Se’, delivered by vivacious heroine Kriti Kharbanda goes “Kya farak padtaa hai--age is just a number”. Apparently, in keeping with that smart repartee, senior actor Dharmendra seemed to be in his witty mood at the trailer-launch of his latest movie ‘YPD-Phir Se’ as he declared, “Who says I am 82 years, I feel I am just 28. Like me, my buddy co-star young-girl actress Rekha, too is evergreen like Dev Anand. Both Rekha and I have come together once again and danced to a funky recreation of my retro (1973) chartbuster romantic song ‘Aarey Raafta Raafta’ and our loyal fans are loving it,” he smiled as he appreciated a rejuvenated avataar of Bobby Deol’s dramatic return to movies.
“These days Bobby is a gym-aholic like the way I used to be fond of booze dens. Everyone goes through ups-and-downs, but it’s important to be resilient and bounce back,” shrugged Dharam-paaji as he glanced fondly at Bobby, who has enacted a scene in ‘YPD-Phir Se’, similar to his dad’s iconic tottering-tipsy scene atop the water-tank in ‘Sholay’. Explains Bobby, “It finally dawned on me that I had neglected myself in the recent past and then inspired by my dad Dharam-ji and then even Salman-bhai, I decided to get back to my original self. I realised how much audiences loved me when ‘Race 3’ released,” shrugs Bobby. Incidentally, Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and Shatrughan Sinha have also put in cameo appearances in ‘YPD-PS’.
