
Deepika Padukone, who has openly spoken about her bout with depression, has now come up with an NGO Live Love Laugh, which will help create awareness about mental illness and also help people suffering from it.
At the event, the actress said that we need to address mental illness and destigmatize it. Talking about her NGO the actress said, ''The idea is to interact with people who can really make a difference, whether it's from the field of sports, entertainment or politics and of course doctors. I believe that everybody in their own capacities have the power to make a difference and mental health as an issue needs to be addressed very seriously in the country and I think it's high time that we did that.''
''Most importantly, people, who like me have experienced anxiety and depression, I think it's very important for them to know that there's hope and we as a foundation are here to help you and together we need to spread awareness and destigmatize mental illness,'' she further added.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched her foundation.
