Both Vicky Kaushal and Janhvi Kapoor will be co-starring in Karan Johar’s upcoming directorial movie ‘Takht’ . By a quirky coincidence, both Vicky and Janhvi were honoured at the star-studded 25th ‘SOL Lions Gold Awards’ event convened by Lion Dr. Raju V. Manwani.
Interestingly the grounded mega-star of the season, suave Vicky Kaushal, the hero of ‘Raazi’ as well as the just released ‘Uri—The Surgical Strike’ movie, had no hang-ups in accepting his SOL Lions ‘supporting actor’ Award trophy, which he bagged for his mind-blowing ‘Kamli’ role-performance in the super-hit movie ‘Sanju’.
Among the scene-stealers at the late-night event were glam-babe Elli Avram, charming TV stars Deepika Kakkar and Jennifer Winget, singer Sonu Nigam, cricketer Sreesanth, senior actress Neena Gupta, Mouni Roy, and of course style-icon Janhvi Kapoor (sporting a funky yet cool, trendy outfit ) who was honoured for her impressive debut in ‘Dhadak’.
Organiser Lion Raju Manwani said, “This year's theme is special not only to us but it’s dedicated to the entire nation. This time ‘silver jubilee’ 25th SOL Lions Gold Awards was in support of the brave Indian Army’. Little wonder that, Vicky Kaushal seemed emotionally moved at the event, as he has played a dare-devil, patriotic Army Officer-Major Vihaan in his latest hit Hindi movie ‘Uri-The Surgical Strike’.
