The trailer launch of the literally wild, wacko, and hilarious action-adventure movie 'Total Dhamaal' (TD) created its own history, right outside the PVR theatre complex in parking bay area. Never before has a trailer of any movie been launched with such showmanship of band-baaja and starry baaraat fanfare with those feathered firangi carnival dancers prancing around. Open-jeeps, each driven by a tanned looking Ajay Devgn and the other by suave Anil ('ageless') Kapoor carrying almost the entire 'TD' cast arrived at the multiplex entrances.
Looking rejuvenated, heroine Madhuri Dixit seemed euphoric as she mingled with her repeat value co-star heroes. “ It's such a delight to be back working all over again with Anil-jee, and also my 'Dil', 'Beta', 'Raja', 'Jodi' director Indra Kumar and producer Ashok Thakeria, and the entire ensemble cast. It's like a joyous sentimental reunion for me. The amount I have laughed in between my shots is precursor testimony to what the audiences will soon enjoy. Content-wise 'Total Dhamaal' will definitely emerge as a benchmark among comedies,” gushed Madhuri.
Incidentally the movie has a starry ensemble that also includes the 'Badshah of Comedy' Johny Lever, Riteish Deshmukh, Javed Jafferi, Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Mishra, Boman Irani and even a cameo by Sonakshi Sinha.
“We are missing Sanjay Dutt in the cast as he was part of both our two prequel 'Dhamaal' franchise movies. It was due to a genuine problem of combination shooting dates,” revealed Indra Kumar who considers this huge casting ensemble a “dream project” that has Anil Kapoor playing a Gujju-Patel-bhai, even mouthing Gujarati phrases.
