This and That

One of those days… the calm before a storm of releases hits. Just a few random thoughts:
It almost seems like even God punished plagiarism - since both Aakrosh and Knock Out bombed badly.
If Bipasha Basu (Aakrosh) thinks not wearing tons of make-up and dressing in cotton saris is acting, she is never going to win that national award!
John Abraham in a bespectacled nerd look that doesn’t suit him at all in (Jhoota Hi Sahi)—what a waste of sex appeal.
Mallika Sherawat must have paraded on dozens of red carpets, but not a single person I know wants to see Hisss.
Ram Gopal Varma is so funny on his tweets; he should attempt a comedy instead of his usual rogues’ gallery films.
Incidentally, why do funny films have to have posters with stars posing with idiotic expressions?
Stars making bit-part appearances on TV shows—does that mean TV is now a more powerful medium than cinema?
Bollywood buries it 40 plus actresses, but if the choice is playing desperate single women like Jennifer Aniston types are slotted into (The Switch), then it’s no choice at all?
Sometimes, Hollywood does a Bollywood-style story better than Bollywood. Just look at Letters to Juliet.
Is Guzaarish set in India? Why do the promos make the characters look vaguely East European?
Guzaarish also looks like a copy of The Sea Inside… is it?
Agneepath was not such a great film, why bother to remake it?
What’s with Pakistani singers turning to acting - our own are better heard than seen.
Apparently Himesh Reshammiya starrer Kajraare came and went and nobody knew.
Ang Lee must know what he is doing, and it a great opportunity for Sonu Sood, but an eight-pack hunk as Pi’s father (in film adaptation of Life of Pi)? Strange!
Bollywood muscling into the Indian Panorama section too!
Great to see young people registering for the MAMI film festival, hopefully they will be dazzled by the cinema on show.
Maybe out cut-paste filmmakers will get to copy some unconventional plots too.
MAMI has a discussion session with eight emerging women directors, surprising they found eight, considering how tough it is for women to get into Bollywood.
Why does a film called Band Baaja Baraat not evoke excitement?
Hope Anil Kapoor’s foray into mainstream Hollywood will be worth the while. About time India had an international star.
Somebody asks which film among the ones in the last two months of this year one is really looking forward to and the answer is uh…um…err… dunno!

It is a good day for financial matters. Certain favorable developments will bring in an opportunity to make sudden profit. Personal life remains tense due to your own irritable nature due to your lack of attention and sensitivity towards your beloved or mate.
