She's showcased her skills as a vocalist in the Kalki Koechlin starrer 'Margarita With A Straw' and 'Monsoon Shootout' – an unreleased Anurag Kashyap production. Presently, Rajnigandha Shekhawat is all set to debut in a Punjabi track called 'Tinder Kudiyaan'.
Interestingly, Shekhawat handpicked 10 male actors for the video based on their 'Tinder' profiles. “ I knew I didn't want actors and I knew that I didn't want to handle the tantrums of actors, even if they came in for free. The dating Aps are all about selecting or rejecting people based on their looks, very much like casting. In the 24 hours that I was on 'Tinder,' I ended up casting for my entire video. So, the men who swiped right for me ended up ended up getting a video audition and a shoot with me, instead of a date. I don't think they minded that!”
'Tinder Kudiyaan' is a happy modern day interpretation of the expressly popular Punjabi folk number 'Baari Barsi' and is a fun take on the new dating scenario in India that features two girls who get merrily overwhelmed when they come across a boy, who is looking to get married via 'Tinder'. Her B'Town buddies such as Vivek Oberoi, Anjana Sukhani, Adah Sharma and Chunky Pandey are doing their bit in promoting their fine-tuned pal.
