Sonal Chauhan is the latest actress to have come under the scanner of the Mumbai Customs. The ‘Jannat’ babe, who was returning from Macau after attending an awards function, tried to pass through the green channel but was stopped for questioning by the Mumbai Customs.
Sonal was intercepted for carrying high-end branded bags and not declaring her purchases. The actress had picked up the bags from Hong Kong international airport and thought she could get away without having to pay any duty. However, that was not to be and finally Sonal had to end up paying Rs.85,000 as a fine for evading duty after which she was allowed to go.
