Sonakshi Sinha’s latest action flick ‘Akira’s’ directed by A.R.Murugodass , trailer was recently released and it has received rave response not only from media but also from the cine goers, especially the college going youth.
Taking a leaf of inspiration from the trailer, the youth of N M College, Mumbai have taken a step further for the betterment of their fellow students. The college has decided to run a self defence workshop in their campus.
This campaign forN M College was kick-started by the film ‘Akira’ star Sonakshi with the college students and faculty. Sonakshi interacted with the students and had a chat on the need for self defence training for the students. She exchanged few tips and basic training programmes which should be included in the campus workshops. Sonakshi too has trained hard at martial arts for the film and the training is visible in the trailer which displayed some mean moves. On kick starting the campaign for N M College, Sonakshisaid, "It is so cool that NM college have decided introduce self defence workshops. I’m so happy and excited. It’s one small step for us and a big step for everybody. I am thrilled that my film Akira has been able to make a difference and urged them in this direction.”
A Professor of N M College said, “We were really happy to meet Sonakshi Sinha and interact with her on her new film Akira. The fact that she is portrayed as a strong woman who stands up for herself in her film has served as an inspiration for many of our students. We are very happy to announce that we have decided to start self defence workshops in our campus very soon, and we are excited that we were able to get Sonakshi ‘Akira’ Sinha to kick-start this campaign.”
