Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkumar Rao to star in horror-comedy film

Actor Shraddha Kapoor will star opposite Rajkumar Rao in an untitled horror comedy. The film has been written by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, and will be produced by Dinesh Vijan through his company Maddock Films.

This will be the second collaboration between Raj and DK, and Vijan after the 2013 zombie comedy Go Goa Gone, starring Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu and Vir Das. The makers are yet decide on the directer for the project.

"Shraddha Kapoor is now on-board the film as the female lead. Shraddha will play a small town girl with a mystery surrounding her character. It's a unique role and in a zone that the actress has not attempted before. She has really liked the script and gave her approval last week," said a statement of Maddock Films. Shraddha also shared the news on Twitter and posted, "Very excited to share that I'll be working with one of my favourite actors Rajkummar Rao and the hilarious director duo Raj and DK for a first of its kind horror-comedy!" The film is currently in the pre-production stage and the makers are scouting for locations.
