Star MP Shatrughan (“khaamosh”) Sinha just returned from his foreign sojourn, was spotted seeking ‘blessings’ at the Andhericha Raja Ganesha pandal. Appearing ‘hale and hearty’, he denied rumours that he had taken a sabbatical from acting. “Khaamosh! I am definitely game for challenging, meaningful roles. But since I am often traveling I am faced with time constraints,” he reacted in his commanding bass voice.
Was he finally playing on-screen ‘father’ to his vivacious star-beti Sonakshi in the upcoming ‘Akira’ directed by A R Murugadoss (of ‘Ghajini’ fame)? Reacts the Sinha, “Definitely, I would love to work with my daughter. But it should ideally be a major, confronting role. I have yet to shoot for this ‘Akira’ cameo, let’s see. Because in this cameo we do not share screen-space,” shrugged the articulate Sinha who is very euphoric about his daughter’s “action-packed” performance in thriller ‘Force-2’ directed by Abhinay Deo, where she plays a daringly tough ‘RAW’ agent.
Quizzed on whether he asked for any boon, he responded with “Lord Ganesha is the guardian-guru of the nation. I have not asked for any boon, simply because, ‘He’ knows what’s good for me,” signed off Shatrughan, whose intriguing candid ‘biography’ penned by noted author-journalist Bharathi S. Pradhan is being released in mid-December this year.
