Big-time box-office solo success may have been rather elusive for Kunal Kapoor, but the determined Bollywood actor is zealously forging ahead. In his previous movie ‘Kaun Kitney Paani Mein’ which had a rural backdrop, the debonair hunk lost ten kgs, so that he could look like the simple lean dude next door.
These days Kunal, who is married to the winsome Naina (Amitabh Bachchan’s niece), has been training diligently to hone his sinewy look for his next film, 'Veeram' in which he plays a deadly warrior. The trilingual film will feature Kunal as Chandu Chekavar, the infamous warrior.
Apparently the ''Rang De Basanti'' actor has gained a whopping 12 kgs for the part, and has also learned the Southside martial art of ‘Kalaripayattu’; sword-fighting for this particular role.
Speaking about his fitness routine, Kunal says, "For the last six months, I have been training tenaciously. I have always been fit, but this is the fittest and most muscular I have ever been. I play a deadly warrior in the film and I wanted to make sure I felt and looked like one," smiles the actor, who has also been finalised for an upcoming Dharma productions venture.
