Macho actor Sanjay Dutt looked ‘fighting fit’ and rejuvenated at the recent star-studded ‘World Environment Day’ crusade event hosted at Bandra, by popular social activist-philanthropist, Asif Bhamla.
Enthused Sanjay baba, “If we do not cut down on pollution and stop damaging the environment, we don’t even need to bother about our future generations. We ourselves are in big trouble. So it is time we act today,” he stormed as the public gathering which included celebs like Zarine Khan, Jackie Shroff, Sonu Sood, Raveena Tandon, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Salim-Suleiman, Armaan Malik, Pooja Batra, Priya Dutt, Sanjay Nirupam, Ashish Shelar and funster Raju Shrivastava cheered him.
Dutt also gave a public ‘demo’ of recycling wastewhich he had learned during his jail-term, and converted a large sheet of ‘raddi’ newspaper into a neat carry-bag. Careerwise, the tapori ‘Munnabhai’ hero is in no tearing hurry to grab films as he is spending quality time with his wife Manyata and his young twin kids.
Currently, prepping up for Siddharth Anand's next movie, the star-hero has signed on yet another period action-comedy film to be directed by Rohit Jugraj Chauhan. The latest on Sanju’s filmy front is that he is being approached to play a pivotal role in the remake of musical costume-drama hit ‘Amrapaali’ (1966), which incidentally had his father Sunil Dutt playing the lead.
