
After getting an overwhelming response for her traditional Punjabi look, Richa Chadda is all excited to meet the real Sukhpreet, whose character she will be playing in Director, Omung Kumar’s much awaited biopic, 'Sarbjit'.
Sarbjit Singh was an Indian national who was convicted of terrorism and spying. He was tried by the Supreme Court of Pakistan for a series of bomb attacks in Lahore and Faisalabad that killed 14 bystanders in 1990. The cast and crew, for the biopic have kick started the third schedule and will be shooting in the villages of Punjab, which are relevant to the events in Sarbjit’s life.
Richa Chadda who is playing the role of Sukhpreet, Sarbjit’s wife, will be seen in a complete de-glam avatar and would be seen sharing screen space with Randeep Hooda and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Sources from the sets have informed us that, to have a realistic impact on screen, Richa has requested the makers to make her meet the real life Sukhpreet.
The talented actress who is known for her outstanding acting skills and hard work, would be visiting Sarbjit’s house to understand the struggle and pain which Sukhpreet went through. She will also be seen spending some special time with Sukhpreet. Talking about it, the versatile actress says, ''I am delighted to be able to meet Sukhpreet. There's an added responsibility while working on characters based on real people, and I think I'll definitely convey the human aspect of the story in the best manner.
